Words can't express the feeling of possibly losing your best friend and not knowing the unknown. My dog Marcel is my best friend, and my family and I have always tried to do our best to prepare for moments like this, and this is a time we actually need help.. we were blessed enough to spend a lovely 5 years with him. Recently we noticed Marcel acting very different, withdrawn and many other symptoms, so we went to the vet but we weren’t ready for the outcome. Yesterday confirmed that Marcel is very sick, his blood work shows elevated White blood cells and elevated Lymphocytes which supports cancer. His Red blood cells and platelet levels are dangerously low, which supports internal bleeding or autoimmune disease- this mistakenly attacks his own cells, tissues, and or organs. His kidneys and liver are currently not working as expected. We are wanting to do more testing and possibly imaging to explore other treatment plans to at least give us extra time with our boy.
