If you've ever taken a walk by 826 Felspar, or come to one of its epic parties, you might be familiar with the fence jumping, attention seeking, lovable black lab, Manny. Our best friend, Sean, adopted him from the rescue when he was a few months old. Sean saw plenty of dogs that day at the rescue, but he knew, from the moment he saw those big eyes, that tail wagging, tongue hanging out of his mouth, body wiggling, he knew that they would be best friends. Sadly, for the past two weeks, Manny has been acting a bit off. He wasn't eating, he started losing weight, and began wobbling and hunching over. Sean and Manny have made several trips to vets and specialists, and then today we found out that Manny has a rare fungal infection, Cryptococcosis. He was taken to the ER and will remain in the hospital for the next 2 days while they treat his infection aggressively. Unfortunately,Manny will have to undergo treatment for the next few weeks.
Sunny days in Pacific Beach are a lot sunnier with Manny around. This fund is to help pay for his treatment. We as friends/family of Sean/Manny (they are one) are reaching out to all of you whose lives they've touched. I believe we can do this. We owe it to Sean and Manny to try. Please donate and share.
P.S. Manny will pour your beer at the next party...and/or drink it.
