Save Main Street Grill and help Porter

Dear Weaverville Family,
As you may have recently heard, Main Street Grill is struggling to stay open.
Shortly after Hurricane Helene, the owner, Porter, was infected by a tick bite, which has led to serious health problems.
Porter has been struggling with intense flu-like symptoms, nausea, extreme fatigue, rapidly progressing arthritis/joint pain, muscle weakness, and kidney issues with a guarded prognosis.
He has been on a few different rounds of antibiotics, none of which have helped so far. As a small business owner with very little income, he does not have health insurance.
For the past nine years, Porter has poured his heart into the community through his relentless dedication to his craft and desire to share it with us. We won’t soon forget seeing him at 5 South Main during the initial shock of Helene’s devastation, smoke pouring from the front door as he cooked us free, hot meals, giving us a glimmer of hope and normalcy.
He needs help getting to a specialist that will require a lot of financial assistance, especially without health insurance.
Please consider helping him get back on his feet and serving the community he loves so much. ❤️
Love,
The Main Street Grill Family
