Help Save Mahli — Urgent Veterinary Care for a Beloved Cat

Hi, my name is Charlie, and I’m asking for help to save my cat, Mahli.

Mahli is 12 years old and has been my constant companion for nearly his entire life. He’s gentle, affectionate, and has helped me through some of the hardest chapters of my life—including the recent loss of his bonded brother, Meena.

Recently, Mahli stopped eating, became lethargic, and began losing weight. After a veterinary exam, he was diagnosed with severe dental disease, including multiple rotting teeth. Without treatment, the infection is expected to spread, making it painful or impossible for him to eat—and eventually leaving euthanasia as the only option.

What Mahli Needs

Mahli’s veterinarian has recommended:

Full dental X-rays

Removal of infected teeth

Deep cleaning and periodontal treatment

General anesthesia, medication, and follow-up care

The estimated cost is $1,854–$2,319.

I am 73 years old and retired, living primarily on Social Security. I did everything I could to prepare for my cats’ care, but after years of extraordinary medical expenses for Meena, I simply don’t have the resources left to cover this on my own.

Why This Matters
