Save Magic: A Beloved Cat in Crisis

Hello Family and Friends,

Let me start by saying that I wouldn’t be asking for this favor if it weren’t something extremely important to me. I’m a huge animal lover, and some of you know I have a cat named Magic, whom I rescued as a stray kitten when he was just two months old. Everyone knows him as my son—I love that cat to death and would do anything for him. Magic has helped me through many tough times in my life, especially the loss of my grandmother.

Magic is a sweet, playful, six-year-old tabby cat—a real ladies’ man—who has been dealing with a urinary tract issue for some time now. He’s been on prescription food and treats, but unfortunately, he continues to suffer from blockages and is now unable to urinate properly. He needs surgery to remove the stones from his bladder and urethra.

It breaks my heart and makes me sick not being able to afford the care he so desperately needs. I love him so much and am doing everything in my power to give him a chance to pull through. The veterinary industry has changed so much, with rising costs for surgeries, vaccines, and even basic exams—leaving pet parents like me facing impossible choices during heartbreaking moments like this. Anyone who loves their pets knows they are like family, and losing them is a pain unlike any other.

Financially, I’ve been struggling due to not being able to work right now because of a medical issue, along with unexpected expenses like car repairs, bills, and more. I also maxed out my CareCredit three weeks ago during another emergency for Magic caused by the same issue—so my hands are tied.
