It all started a few years ago, when Mac was diagnosed with Fuch's Dystrophy. In 2022, he had a cornea transplant. After about 3 months, his body rejected the transplant and, since then, his eyesight has progressively gotten worse. We had the chance to visit one of the leading specialists in cornea transplant and Fuch's. At the doctor's suggestion, he told us he needed surgery quickly to even remotely save his eye sight in his right eye. He said every month we wait can cause scarring on the cornea, which will eventually cause total blindness. Therefore, we have pre-scheduled the surgery for December 14th (providing we can get the funding). We have insurance, but we still have to pay the deductible along with missing work, hotel and travel expenses to the location and while we are there. I would normally not ask for help and honestly dislike having to do this. However, I also know that there are a lot of people that love Mac and care about him.
