Help Save Mac: A Sweet Corgi Facing Sudden Paralysis
Our hearts are breaking, and we are reaching out for help in a moment we never saw coming. Jonathan’s beloved 5-year-old corgi, Mac, has suddenly lost feeling in his hind legs and lower body due to a severe spinal emergency caused by degenerative disc disease.
Last week, Mac was running, playing, and happy with wiggles and barks. Within just a couple of days, he began to struggle with running and walking up steps… then he fell… and now he can no longer move or feel his back legs at all.
After rushing Mac to the vet, we learned that a couple of his discs have shifted and are pressing into his spinal cord and nerves. The only chance to relieve his pain and restore function to his legs is through urgent spinal surgery.
The estimated cost of Mac’s surgery and treatment: $15,000.
This includes emergency care, spinal surgery, hospitalization, medication, and rehabilitation.
We do not have the resources to cover this life-saving surgery on our own, Without treatment, Mac will remain paralyzed — and the pain alone is unbearable to watch.
Mac is not just a dog.
He is family.
We are doing everything we can to save Mac’s life, his ability to walk, and the future he deserves.
✨ We are asking for help — any amount, big or small — to give Mac a chance.
Every dollar brings us closer to lifesaving surgery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, supporting, and caring.
If you aren’t able to donate, please help us by sharing Mac’s story.
With love and gratitude,
Mac’s family
