Help Lynn Rebuild—Again
If you know Lynn, you know she's a cornerstone of Jasper.
She bought Coco’s nearly 20 years ago and spent that time building more than a business—she built community. She co-founded Jasper's Pride Festival. She taught kids and adults how to cook. She fed the town Christmas dinner. Twice. She donated to every cause under the sun. And if you were hungry? Lynn fed you. No questions asked.
But the past few years have been brutal.
The pandemic hit hard, and like so many small businesses, she struggled. Just as things started looking up, the Chetamon wildfire led to a multi-day power outage. Parks Canada told tourists to stay away, and revenue disappeared during a critical time of year.
Eventually, Lynn made the heartbreaking decision to sell her dream cafe to get out of debt and try something new.
She bought a food trailer. She leased commercial kitchen space. She invested in new equipment. She worked markets, did custom orders, ran deliveries—she was doing it. She was back.
Then the Jasper wildfire hit in 2024 and burned her new space to the ground. Everything gone. Again.
But she pivoted again, because that’s what Lynn does. She doesn’t give up.
Then last week, on her way to a festival in Canmore, her truck broke down on the Icefields Parkway in a terrifying moment. That truck is her business. It hauls the food trailer. It’s also her family’s only vehicle. The repair bill? $17,000. And right now, that cost means it's fucking over. She can’t work. She can’t get to Edmonton to see Alice. Everything is on hold.
Lynn has given this community so much. If you've ever eaten her food, learned from her, laughed with her, or felt safe at her kitchen table—please consider helping her now.
Every donation helps. You got an extra loonie? Send it. Got a free moment at lunch? Share this. Every share helps.
Let’s help Lynn rebuild, one more time.
