My name is Samantha. This is for my cat Lupin. In his short life, he has been through so much. I have never gotten a cat that wasn’t a rescue from the streets or a bad living condition. He is currently suffering from what I believe is a mouth ulcer. The pain from this ulcer or mouth sore is causing him to drool and he is not able to eat. I’m currently trying to raise money through selling my belongings on Facebook Marketplace, but this is an emergency because he had not eaten in two days. We were unaware of the mouth sore until today. I have been able to get fluids and very watery wet food in him, but he is drooling, stumbling, and very lethargic.

When he was a kitten, he stayed by my side when I had COVID and had a heart attack. He became ill, and it was very hard for me to care for him. I did not go to the hospital until a week after my heart attack, but I took him to the vet because he was so sick. Him being sick meant more to me than my own well being. I found out he had swallowed a string, and it was wrapped around his intestines and cutting them in half. He had to have surgery to remove a lot of them because they were basically dying. They said he could make a full recovery.

Now we’re here. I cannot let him go through all that just to be taken out by a mouth sore. From what I’ve read, it could be anything from dental problems to stomach problems, all lethal if left untreated. I am willing to swallow my pride to get help for my cat, where I won’t for myself. I thank all that donate and will let everyone know how he is doing. I decided to do this because he was gasping as if taking his last breath and I am terrified I will wake up to him not alive anymore and I do not have the mental strength to be without him. I am unaware of what it will cost to take care of this matter, but I can not even afford to even get him in the door. I will be calling tomorrow to see what it will cost to even get him an exam. I am going to call the humane society because my personal vet I already know is very expensive.
