Luna was originally diagnosed with a condition called Vestibular Syndrome on the 30th of April, although the cause unknown, we was told to ‘wait a few days’ to see if she recovers naturally and having had some anti sickness and blood thinning injections.
After getting a second opinion today (04/05/21) , the issue is now believed to be a deep ear infection, putting pressure on the side of her brain, resulting in her eyes twitching uncontrollably, her balance so severely affected, she is unable to walk or stand-on her own. She won’t eat at all and will only drink from a Syringe.
Luna has been taken to a special care unit to stay this evening (04/05/21) to receive an IV drip and antibiotics. Her CT scan is tomorrow (05/05/21) then an operation to remove the fluid/infection tomorrow.
Shes a great companion to our 18 month old daughter and a great mum to her two pups Leo and Lyra, who also live with us.
We are unable to come up with the funds fast enough to pay for her treatment and every day we leave it is another day the fluid builds, pushing against her brain.
Even the smallest donation will be so greatly appreciated!
Jamie and Amy
