Help Us Save Our Cat — A Beloved Member of Our Family

Our beloved cat Luna (Ebony) is not just a pet, she’s family. She’s been a source of love, comfort, and companionship, especially for my younger son. Right now, she is fighting for her life, and we’re doing everything we can to save her, but we need your help.

A month ago, we took her to a local vet because we noticed she wasn’t feeling well. They did an X-ray but unfortunately didn’t provide proper treatment, they just prescribed antibiotics and sent us home. Her condition worsened over the weeks, and today she suddenly got much worse. She could barely breathe.

We rushed her back to the same vet, who again didn’t take emergency action. He said there was fluid in her lungs but still sent us home. By evening, her breathing was critical, and I rushed her to the emergency clinic, where she was finally properly diagnosed and treated.

They diagnosed her with pyrothorax, a serious and life-threatening condition where pus accumulates in the chest cavity, crushing the lungs and making it hard to breathe. She needed urgent fluid drainage and intensive care.

I’ve already paid $2,041 at the emergency hospital, plus $824.50 a month ago and $873.84 today to the first vet, that's a total of $3,739.34. I’ve used up all I had (actually it’s a credit which I have to pay off). I’m financially overwhelmed, but I can’t give up on her.

My younger son is heartbroken. He can’t sleep. She’s more than a pet, she’s his best friend.
