Save Luna from the Streets of Bosnia

Hello!! My name is Alma and I'm trying to raise money to bring over a pup that was abused living on the streets of Bosnia. I met Luna in July when I was out walking at night time and she hesitantly came up to me. I instantly fell in love with her. I noticed she was very skinny and had cigarette burn marks from some cruel person. Dogs and cats in Bosnia are considered pests to many people, but we are slowly getting more and more people to raise their voices for abused animals.

I took Luna home, bathed her, fed her, and took care of her while I tried to find a home for her. I had 10 days, so it was very time-limited, and I ended up not being able to find anyone who wanted to take her in. So, my next step was to bring her over to America to give her a better life because I believe if I have the power to help, I will do so. But I couldn’t bring her with me on the plane ride back because she needed her papers and vaccines.

Now, I have left her in foster care, the only one I could find, and it’s not the best, but I had no choice while I got her the vaccines and papers with a friend's help. The foster person is giving me a rough time, saying October is the last month she can care for her, but she will be available to get transported on October 25th if I can get the money by then. If not, we will have to somehow look very hard to find another foster person for the month of November. I am at a loss because our only transport available is a Serbian company that ships them overseas, and they gave me an estimated price of €1700, which is about $1800 roughly. If I had everything prepared by the time I had to leave, it would have been €250, but unfortunately, it couldn’t happen.

I managed to pay for her vaccines, microchip, and her surgery to get fixed, plus the foster home monthly charges while working a minimum wage job as I’m in college. I really don’t want her to go back on the streets. She has such a beautiful personality and lots of love to give. I can’t stand the thought of her going back out there to get abused, neglected, or possibly killed by a car, which happens very often, sadly. I am asking for everyone’s help if possible to chip in as I’ve had a very rough year. I’ve lost a lot this year, and I want to do this one thing at least to make it right for her to have a better life. I will provide all proof, every single document, vet bills, even the Serbian company we are using. Please consider helping me out.
