Dear friends, animal lovers, and kind-hearted strangers, I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. A few days ago, Lucky was hit by a car in a sudden accident. The accident left her with a broken humerus, a severe injury that requires immediate surgery to save her leg and give her the chance to live a normal, happy life again given the circumstances of Grenada, without surgery Luckys chances are null. The veterinary surgeon has assured me that Lucky has a good chance of recovery with surgery, but it’s an expensive procedure. The cost of the surgery, post-operative care, and physical therapy is far beyond what I can manage, but I can’t imagine giving up on her. Now, she needs me—and all of us—to help her through this.
