Save Lucky Dog Books from Closing

Donation protected
Update: 10/1/2019.  Thanks for the generosity of our donors and friends, in 2 short days, we are fully recovered from the burglary($1800). We were disappointed when our beloved bookstore was broken-in and vandalized, and we lost a few days of sales.  However, many great people like you stepped up and helped us.  The encouragements are enormous.

We still lack resources to relocate our business within Oak Cliff, estimated at $7250, as our lease will run out by 10/31/2019.  We greatly appreciate your donations and contributions, and the best way is to share and take advantage of our incredible sales of $1 books/vinyls/CDs....

About us: We are trying our best to save Lucky Dog Books Oak Cliff - Dallas and employees living in the neighborhoods.  We rated 4.9/5.0 and the most favorite local business for years.  We are the only major bookstore for underrepresented people, providing much needed reading at a superb budget.  We made a great progress to sustainability and was on the way to save the local destination.

This campaign aims to ask our friends to help us in our difficult situation and save local jobs.  More important, if we close, more than 660,000 people living/working within 10 miles of us, most of whom minorities, would lose access to the only major bookstore.  We feel most satisfied when we saw smiling faces, especially from young readers, arising from book chapters.

Please help us to save the only 4.9/5.0 rated local favorite bookstore.  Reading can change many people’s lives.  Thanks.
