Louise Dean Center is a school in Calgary Alberta for young pregnant and parenting moms from grades 9-12. This school allows young moms to continue their education on site with out a fear of finding childcare, having funds, and so much more.
This school is a safe haven for many girls. Alumni's and current students are coming together to raise money for a new building as their current one is unrepairable.
The CBE is wanting to merge this school with one known as Jack James, a school known for violence, drugs, bullying and more. These girls would be offered one classroom within the school, no onsite daycare, and more. They say the girls will be separated from the rest of the school but will buss with other students, be outside with them, and in the halls. This school is also not easily accessible by transit for moms who do not drive.
Please donate, spread the word, and keep this amazing program separate from normal high schools for our young moms futures !
