my name is Grace, and this is my bunny Louie. I rescued him from outside about a month ago from a rough start in life. my sweet baby recently had a sudden and dangerous health emergency. Yesterday, Louie stopped eating and became very lethargic — symptoms that quickly pointed to gastrointestinal stasis, a life threatening condition in rabbits where their digestive system slows or stops. Without quick treatment, rabbits can decline in a matter of hours.

I rushed Louie to the emergency vet, where they confirmed the diagnosis and started treatment right away. His care plan including diagnostics, medications, and follow-up treatment is estimated at $1,400.

I rescued Louie about a month ago and he has quickly became my best friend and my family. I’m doing everything I can to help him recover, but this unexpected bill is more than I can manage alone.
