My name is loredana Smith, and I’m a mother of two beautiful children — an 18-year-old son who is graduating high school this year and a brilliant 9-year-old daughter who is in an advanced placement program. I’m battling terminal cancer, and every day is a fight I refuse to give up because I need to be here for my kids.
Recently, I lost my health insurance and with it, the ability to afford life-sustaining treatment. I receive chemotherapy twice a week and blood platelet transfusions once a week. These treatments are the only things keeping me alive right now. I’ve already been off my medication for two weeks because I simply cannot afford it — and my time is running out.
I’m asking for $13,000 to cover my immediate medical costs, including:
Chemotherapy sessions
Weekly blood transfusions
Critical medications
This money will help me continue my treatment and buy me precious time with my children. I want to see my son graduate. I want to keep being a mother to my daughter. They need me — and I need your help to stay in their lives a little longer.
Any amount helps, and if you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean the world to me and my children.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Loredana Smith
