Looey is a 5-year-old black/tan coonhound with a big personality, full of love, curiosity, and a passion for being a good boy . He was recently diagnosed with heartworm. While we are grateful to have caught it early, sadly, we cannot afford his treatment.
Heartworm is a disease spread to dogs by mosquitoes, where parasitic worms enter the heart and lungs and can grow up to 14 inches long, doing permanent damage to the organs. It is a treatable disease but is devastating and fatal if left untreated.
Our hearts are heavy as we have no choice but to delay until we can afford the full course of treatments, given it requires a strict 3-month schedule. The sooner Looey can receive treatment, the more likely it is he can make a full recovery and live a long, happy life.
Please donate today to help us save Looey. He is such a good boy, and he doesn't deserve this.
