Hallo, mein Name ist Alexis und ich brauche eure Hilfe, um einen der wenigen lokalen Tierärzte zu unterstützen, die es hier auf der Insel gibt..

Wir sind durch Lombok gefahren als ein kleiner Welpe auf uns zugelaufen kam. Er hatte eine große Wunde am Rücken und wir fragten die Frau was passiert ist.

Die Frau hat uns erzählt, dass sie ihn nach einer Flut gefunden hat und er keine Mama mehr hat. Sie hat ihn aufgenommen, obwohl sie selbst kaum etwas hat und schon acht Katzen versorgt.

Und die Katzen waren in keinem guten Zustand. Sie haben schwere Räude (Scabies). Das sind Milben, die sich in die Haut eingraben und dort kleine Tunnel bilden. Es juckt unfassbar schlimm und ist extrem ansteckend. Manche hatten schon richtige Wunden vom vielen Kratzen.

Wir haben dann sofort den Tierarzt, Dr. Ulul angerufen

und zum Glück kam er direkt am nächsten Tag vorbei. Er hat alle Katzen behandelt und natürlich auch den Welpen. Außerdem konnten wir vier Katzen und einen Hund kastrieren lassen, damit sich das Leid nicht immer weiter vergrößert.

Aber es gibt hier einfach so viele Tiere, die Hilfe brauchen. Deshalb möchten wir Dr. Ulul weiter unterstützen, damit noch mehr Hunde und Katzen behandelt und kastriert werden können.

Hello, my name is Alexis and I need your help to support one of the few local veterinarians here on the island.

We were driving through Lombok when a small puppy suddenly ran toward us. He had a large wound on his back, and we asked the woman what had happened.

She told us that she found him after a flood and that he no longer has a mother. She took him in, even though she barely has anything herself and is already caring for eight cats.

And the cats were not in good condition. They are suffering from severe mange (scabies). These are mites that burrow into the skin and create small tunnels. It causes unbearable itching and is extremely contagious. Some of them already had open wounds from scratching so much.

We immediately called the veterinarian, Dr. Ulul, and thankfully he came the very next day. He treated all the cats and of course the puppy as well. In addition, we were able to have four cats and one dog spayed/neutered to prevent the suffering from continuing to grow.

But there are simply so many animals here who need help. That’s why we would like to continue supporting Dr. Ulul, so that more dogs and cats can receive treatment and be spayed or neutered.
