My name is Laurie Dryden, and I need help. I have never had to do this before, but I feel I have no choice. Our sweet & loving Loki has been in an emergency animal hospital since Sunday. He has a total urinary blockage. He had to be catheterized. He was doing better and was due to come home today. After they removed the catheter, he became blocked again. Our options are to do a catheterization again with a very high chance of it returning, surgery to eliminate the problem or euthanasia. We decided to go with the surgery. With the treatment and surgery, the estimated cost is between $8,000 and $9,000! It breaks my heart to think we might need to cut his life short due to how much it costs. We need help with this, please! We realize the struggle everyone is having, but would appreciate any help we can get. Loki is such a little (albiet chunky) loving cat and brings so much joy and comfort to our lives. He is a little over 2 years old, and we pray he has many more years with us.
Thank you,
Laurie Dryden and Family
