Save Amado's Flooded Venue

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and community,

On Friday, June 23rd, during a sold-out Pride celebration party, the Amado’s downstairs venue suffered a catastrophic flood.

Already struggling to recover from the pandemic like so many other venues, this has dealt a severe blow to our ability to keep our staff employed and survive as a venue. The downstairs venue has been gutted and must be fully rebuilt. Our sound system, lighting system, staircases, bar, floors, walls, piano, and more were all destroyed. Costs are mounting and revenue from canceled shows continues to be lost. The full cost of damage is still being calculated, but the iInitial damage estimate is $500,000.

We are reaching out to you, because we believe in community.

During the pandemic, we saw a need for people to stay connected and find hope through community during a time of tremendous loss and isolation. We responded by finding ways to safely stay open throughout the entire pandemic by keeping the music going and our staff employed. But now, we are forced to turn to you for hope and support in this time of need.

You have the power to keep our community alive and save us from shuttering like so many other venues that have already disappeared.

Whether it’s $1, $10, $100, or $1000 - anything you’re able to give will help us to retain staff, and bring us one step closer to being able to rebuild our downstairs venue and once again provide a space for you to connect with amazing musicians, artists, neighbors and each other. If you’re not able to donate, that’s ok. You can still have a big impact by sharing our campaign and spreading the word.

We thank you for being with us and are grateful for your support.

Our main ground-floor bar is still open and we continue to host live entertainment every night. Please stop by and support our artists, staff, and venue.
