Hi, my name is Catherine and I’m raising emergency funds for my kitten with a congenital heart defect. Last night, I found him lethargic, and rushed him to the ER. He is now having blood drained from his lungs, and was diagnosed with beginning congestive heart failure. Last night’s bill came out to $4,948.00. He’s responding well to treatment, but with this massive bill, I cannot even afford his new medication.

I maxed out 2 credit cards to cover the bill for now, and will work as much as I can to pay it off. But I won’t get paid for two weeks, which already won’t cover much, and I paid with what cash I had. I promised that I would do everything I could to help him. He’s my baby and best friend, and I’ve done everything in my power to treat his heart condition thus far.

Cats who have reached this stage, on average, live for another year. I don’t want to have to reject care and have him pass too soon because I couldn't afford it. I am scared that when he’ll need any treatment from the hospital going forth, whether it’s an x-ray or an IV, or even medication, I won’t have the cards paid off in time to cover it.
