Save Lily: Urgent Surgery Needed for Beloved Cat

Donation protected
I desperately need help saving my heart cat, Lily. She saved me as a teenager when my very first ragdoll passed from FIP shortly after bringing her into the family, she saved me when my dad died and she’s just saved me constantly since. She is always saving me and now I need to save her. She is the love of my life and I don’t know what to do.

To start, I’m 39 weeks pregnant with my first baby and due on October 5th. My husband recently migrated from England to the US to be with me, we’re newly married and he only recently got his work authorization approved so he can begin looking for jobs in the US. As of right now, he doesn’t have one yet so we have very minimal income and my sister is helping us at this time with having a place to live, this was not in the plans before the baby is here. We recently spent a lot of funds on last minute baby items as well as a surprise ER bill yesterday to have Lily assessed, so we’re completely stripped of money. I’ve also applied for every CareCredit or pet insurance and I was declined due to minimal / no credit.

Lily is my 8 year old ragdoll; 3 days ago she began displaying symptoms of vomiting profusely, lethargy, uncomfortable / restless and unable to sleep, refusal to eat and low tone meowing that is unusual for her. Yesterday she threw up with blood which is what brought us into the ER, where they performed an x-ray and found an item lodged in both her large and small intestine. The kind veterinarian we saw yesterday told me that if we don’t get this emergency surgery to remove it, her intestine is at risk of rupturing?? We brought her home last night because the vet told me it was too late in the day to perform the surgery but she’s very uncomfortable. All she’s doing is drinking and throwing up and drinking and throwing up, often times with blood. They gave her a Cerenia injection yesterday to help with her nausea and vomiting so that thankfully allowed her to rest in the night.

I would do anything for this cat, but right now I can’t do anything for her so if you guys could please help me save the love of my life, I would be forever grateful. I’ve attached pictures of her x-ray as well as the cost of her emergency surgery, which has a low end of $1,555 and a high end of $2,999 depending on what they find while she’s under. I realize this is last minute and a lot of funds, I don’t expect all of it to be covered, anything at all will help tremendously and be appreciated.

If you are able to help with anything at all and would like validation that Lilith is indeed sick and has been seen here before you send anything, you can call her clinic: Access Veterinary Care in Crystal, MN

You can give my name Hannah Wilson and/or my kitties name, Lilith Wilson. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this novel of a post and please please please keep our girl in your prayers.
