Save Lily the Chow Chow

Lily is a 16 month old Chow Chow who is the sweetest fluffiest good girl you'll ever meet. And she needs your help. A couple of months ago I noticed she was slowing down a lot and was struggling with her legs and hips; which for such a devoted pup who loves nothing more than being by my side is a big concern. So she paid a visit to the vet and stuck out her beautiful blue tongue and said ‘Ah!” whilst she was examined.
The vet says she has very bad hip dysplasia and hardened bones in her elbows, which has caused fragments of bone to snap off. This has now made her poor little legs brittle and is stopping her from doing all the things she loves.
Elbow surgery has been quoted at £3,700 and hip surgery at around £7,500 and I just don’t have the money to get it done. The insurance company has said it won’t be covered since hip and elbow dysplasia, and patellar luxation are a high risk in Chow Chows. The vet has said this surgery needs to be done as soon as possible, otherwise it will get worse and become irreversible meaning she would have to be put to sleep. So I am asking for your help to save Lily’s life and allow her many more happy fluffy years.
Her vet says she is otherwise a very healthy girl and she’s maintained her happy-cloud-on-legs personality throughout this. Getting this surgery is essential to give her a long, happy and healthy life, and all the funds raised will go towards paying for her medical bills, and any follow up procedures and medications that she’lll need.
I am awaiting the written quote from the vet which I will attach when I get it here :)
