Lilly is a beautiful cat. I inherited her when my mom and dad passed away. She is the absolute sweetest kitty. Lilly started having chronic respiratory infections about 2 years ago. Recently, I took her to the Ark Animal Hospital near my house. First, they did a culture and performed what would be considered a minor surgery. It quickly turned into a nightmare! I picked her up the same day around 5:00 pm. She immediately started bleeding from her nose. It didn’t stop until the following day. I was literally up all night trying to take care of her. I lost it when she started vomiting blood everywhere. I was so scared for her. All I could do was pray.

I took her back to the hospital the following morning. She had become severely dehydrated as a result of all of this. They started her on an IV, steroids and antibiotics, and kept her overnight. The results from the culture came back with a type of bacteria that is extremely rare and hard to cure. There is only one treatment option and it’s very expensive.

Here is an explanation as to why I’m trying to raise funds for her treatments.

I was in a horrific car crash in 2018 and became disabled. Six months later I was diagnosed with a debilitating disease, Addisons. I was in banking and finance for 23yr, but now I’m unable to work. I live on a fixed income. My finances have been completely drained at this point. I physically struggle through each day. I’m often sick. Im getting ready to have my 4th back surgery, but before I do, I want to make sure Lilly is taken care of.
