Lewis was a beloved member of SME enjoying his time in the jumper ring with our students, giving his whole heart to his job.

About 3 months ago he was sold to a family with a young girl who fell in love with him and promised him a forever home not having to do lessons anymore. They were made aware of his soundness issues, maintenance level, current ulcer treatment program and some quirks about handling such as being hard to catch in the field.

Within the past three months they decided they didn't want him and when they couldn't sell him quickly dropped him off at a sale barn for $800 telling the dealer he was impossible to catch in the field.

He's now been found in a kill pen in VA and we have to get him to safety!

His bail from this pen is $2100. We are asking for donations to help bail him out, quarantine him and then will bring him home and help figure out a soft, safe and permanent landing for him!
