Hi, my name is Michael Sagrero and I’m asking for help for Leia, our beautiful 4-year-old dog who means the world to our family.

Leia is currently suffering from a vaginal infection and a serious eye infection that’s getting worse each day. She hasn’t been eating, her eyes are red and painful, and she’s clearly in distress. We’ve taken her to the vet, but we don’t have the funds to cover the testing and treatment she desperately needs to heal.

Leia isn’t just a pet—she’s been a lifeline to one of our family members who went through a deep depression and a psychological break. During some of the darkest times involving addiction to drugs and alcohol, Leia was the only source of comfort and hope. With her unconditional love, that family member was able to turn things around, rebuild his life, find faith, and reconnect with his family.

Leia is his light—his vision of a child, his reminder that healing is possible. The thought of losing her now is heartbreaking, especially when we know treatment could save her.
