In 1998 La his mom and dad moved to the United States after their family survived the war in laos .
Las biological parents and siblings were massacred in front of him . so his sister and her husband adopted after settleing in a refugee camp and were bought to the US for a new and better life They were given a permanent alien card.
It was a new begining but just a few years LA was playing soccer and collapsed he had kidney failure. He did dialysis in his teens continuing for 20 years . New to the area he was desperate for friends. he ended up joined a gang and got into trouble in 1996 resulting in 2nd degree assault with deadly weapons. He served his time in prison and was placed on check in with immigration . In 2006 La was given a kidney transplant didn't last long and back on dialysis. untill 2015 he was donated another kidney. it is not a perfect match and he needs monthly bilecept infusions and a dozen medications to help maintain the kidney.
Fast forward the transplant has given him a new lease on life where for once he finally got to live. We have been together now since 2017 . In 2018 His wife was diagnosed w cancer and has been battling since he is her only care taker. He also lost his mom in 2020 to COVID . Just a week after her funeral la had a stroke and was diagnosed with heart failure.La is also his father's caregiver a amputee from the war and has no other children alive . La has to check in with Immigration in MN in December as he has every year now, however Laos was not accepting deportees before. 2025 they have been accepting deportees and some citizens even been reported to Africa if lao didn't accept them .if they deport him he will not survive long without Bilecept infusions . The bilecept is not available in laos . and dialysis is not a option . We are trying to petition his deportation under medical and caregiver. He has been denied petitions in the past. I have my passport ready to go spend the final months with him if it comes to this. We are so desperate and need funds for petitions or a lawyer.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering donating or sharing this . So many people don't understand what is really going on with all the deportations these day.
