Help Landon fight his IMHA!
Donation protected
On Friday, July 25, 2025, our super energetic dog who is obsessed with playing ball suddenly stopped moving. He wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t get up. We had to rush our dog to the emergency vet after he suddenly became extremely weak and pale. The vet told us he was severely anemic and needed a blood transfusion right away to survive. We managed to get him one transfusion, which cost about $1,000, but we couldn’t afford to keep him overnight because that would’ve doubled the cost.
We brought him home and monitored him closely. The next day, the vet checked his blood again, and his PCV (red blood cell level) had only gone up 3%. That means the transfusion wasn’t enough. He’s still dangerously low, and now the vet says he needs another transfusion and possibly more to survive.
The vet broke down what Landon’s future might look like: there’s about a 30% chance he’ll fully recover, a 30% chance he’ll need medication long term, and another 30% chance he’ll require ongoing transfusions just to stay alive.
Each transfusion costs around $1,000, and we’ve already spent everything we had just trying to get him through the first one.
We love him so much, and we’re doing everything we can, but we’re at the point where we have to ask for help. If you’re able to donate anything at all, it would go straight to his care. Even a few dollars could help us get closer to saving him. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for caring. Our dog is still fighting, and we’re not ready to give up on him. We always expected Landon to be with us for 14 years, growing old together. It’s heartbreaking to face the possibility of losing him at just 4 years old.
