Save Koda: Donate for His Lifesaving Medication

Hello!

My name is Samantha and I recently rescued a kitty named Koda who is now going to start the rough path of treatment for FIP.

He was love at first sight with his big bug eyes looking up at me as I walked past him inside of Petsmart. He was adopted to me with a clean bill of health, but at home I could tell something was wrong. After many different visits to the vet and trying different tests and antibiotics, he still wouldn’t get off the couch or play, which is very strange for a 2yr old. Soon his back legs gave out, he started walking with a sway and was visibly showing other symptoms that something was very off. That’s when we got the dreaded, “we think this is FIP”.

And he was declining fast. Only two years ago, FIP was a death sentence. Now, a new drug with almost a 90% success rate can put FIP into remission. Only one pharmacy in the USA will compound this drug. Koda needs 12 weeks of treatment - at 2 pills a day, making the estimate at $3,800 - just for the medication. There are visits and more labs too.

The amount is impossible for me, and a hard decision needed to be made but I intend to do everything I can. I rescued this kitty so that he could live a happy and healthy life. I’m asking for help, any amount you can provide, so that journey can continue.
