Save Koala’s Eye
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emma and I’m raising funds for my new adopted cat, Koala.
Koala is a 2 year old feline, who was adopted 2 weeks ago from a shelter, where she was previously a stray. Since bringing her home, we realised there was something wrong with her eye, it would only happen occasionally so we didn’t think there was much to worry about. Especially since it wasn’t an issue listed in her documents for us to look out for. We booked in for a vet one morning when we saw the eye completely bloodshot. We have spent hundreds on vet consultations and medications to help her eye, and recently got her into an eye specialist. She has a build up of fibrin (protein) inside of her eye and will need to undertake a graft surgery to save it. The doctor said she would have had since she was a kitten and if left untreated, she will eventually lose her eye and will need it removed.
The funds will be used for her surgery, it will cover the surgery itself and all the tools and fees needed during the process, including anaesthesia, knives, admission and theatre fees etc. This will not cover any medication, but all funds raised for the surgery alone would be a massive help and will be greatly appreciated.
