Kira Kira Salon is a community hub, aggressively pink wonderland, inclusive safe space, and is minority, women, lgbtq, and neurodivergent owned. A home to both the American indie lolita brand Belladonna, selling size inclusive clothing, accessories, and unhinged art, and Kira Kira nail salon, providing excellent and highly specialized nail and spa services.

We need your help in order to open our store front. While we saved for unforeseen expenses, the lengthy permitting process has completely drained all of our funds, we have been paying double rent since March and we still do not have a move in date due to the challenges we have run into from both the county and the landlord. So far we have already gone through over $22,000 from known expenses to set up the space, but also because we found out after signing the lease that the landlord does not have floorplans, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC information and specs at all that the county demands and there are no records of at all. To top it off the basement suite of the building flooded on memorial day and has caused a construction disruption to our ability to continue setting up our space.

We are currently working extra days in the salon (and not paying ourselves for overtime at all) as well as selling off personal items and taking commissions, but the additional income is not enough to save this business. We will be bankrupt by the end of the month if we are unable to make rent and pay an estimated additional $4000 for ventilation requirements that do not have a scheduled installation date because parts still need to be ordered. If none of this happened this business would not be in this situation, the move and expansion for us would allow us to hire more techs and provides more space for future growth.
