My name is Andrea, and I am humbly reaching out for help.

A little over a year ago, I lost my mom, my only parent and best friend, to breast cancer. I was her sole caretaker, walking with her through every doctor’s visit, every sleepless night, and every painful step of her journey. I fed her, bathed her, and sat by her side until her final breath. It was the most difficult experience of my life, but I am grateful that God allowed me to have that precious time with her.

Since then, it has been just me and my two pups, Cashmere and Keyoni. The Lord has used them as my comfort through grief, my companions in the silence, and the reason I’ve been able to push through the hardest days. Their love has carried me through depression and reminded me that joy is still possible.

Recently, just after passing the one-year anniversary of my mom’s death, I noticed a few growths on Keyoni. After testing, the vet confirmed that she has cancer. Hearing that news was a crushing blow to my heart and spirit. I cannot bear the thought of losing her, especially after all that has happened. Keyoni is more than a pet. She is my family, my friend, and my daily reminder that love endures.

The vet referred me to a low-cost clinic, and the quote for surgery to remove the tumors is almost $1,000. I applied for CareCredit and ScratchPay but was denied. At this time, I simply cannot afford the surgery or the subsequent doctors visits on my own.

This is where I am asking for help. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Keyoni’s surgery and care. I have included more photos of Keyoni, as well as a copy of the vet bill (last photo), so you can see exactly where your generosity is going.

If you are an animal lover, you know that our pets are not “just pets” … they are family. They give us unconditional love, and they deserve to be loved and cared for in return. I am trying my best to do just that!!

Keyoni is the sweetest six-year-old pup with a heart bigger than her body. Though quiet and gentle, she carries a joyful, playful spirit that fills every room she enters. She loves all people and animals, whether it’s protecting a bunny from harm, comforting children, or simply shadowing me wherever I go. She is loyal, obedient, and tenderhearted; the kind of dog who bows her head with me in prayer at night, loves a good old fashioned road trip, and greets guests with endless kisses upon arrival. She plays like a puppy, adores watermelon and cheese, and even steps in to break up fights between other dogs, always choosing peace. Keyoni is my little shadow, my protector, and my daily reminder that even in the hardest seasons of life, God is good and joy is still possible. Her love shines so brightly that no one can be around her without feeling it.
