My name is Ashley, an Ayurvedic and Intuitive Healer, organizing and reaching out on behalf of Kevala Wellness & Ayurveda and its owner, Sanja Oropeza.

Kevala Wellness & Ayurveda is situated in a cozy area of Long Beach, on a busy stretch. The location is warm, inviting, and has a wonderful tea house charm. On weekends, we host tea lounge hours that serve up wonderful elixirs and delicious tea lattes that are nourishing and healing. During the week, Sanja and a few other holistic practitioners service clients.

Kevala is a restorative safe haven for the mind, body, and spirit, vital to the heartbeat of the Long Beach community and all who inhabit this sweet city.

My goal here is to help generate funding and exposure for this beautiful, sacred space that has been carefully tended and curated by Sanja over the years. I met Sanja in spring 2024, and right away she welcomed me with love and acceptance. This is the same love and compassion she shares with all who walk through the doors of Kevala.

Kevala is in threat of being closed without your help before the end of this year. We need visibility, patronage, and most of all, funding to keep this cherished place open.

All proceeds will go toward the rent, utilities and debts incurred to sustain Kevala.

Below, I have included some words written by some of Kevala's practitioners. Please read and please share this post to save a vital small business in the Long Beach community.

"I have known Sanja since my humble practitioner beginnings at another beloved holistic location in Long Beach. Sanja has been with the healing Long Beach community for nearly a decade. She has given so much of her heart and soul into building her dream, and it's been a continuous uphill battle of financial debt, so much that bills are in arrears and Kevala has been threatened with losing its space. This has taken a toll, not only on her personal finances but her health as well. Earlier this year, Sanja swallowed her pride and reached out to you, the community, for help. Unfortunately, she has been silently still struggling and now, with love and transparency, she needs the community's help once more.

Kevala is at risk of closing its doors and needs the community's help in keeping its doors open through the end of the year.

I have been offering Reiki at Kevala Wellness since 2019 when it was originally on Pine Avenue in downtown Long Beach in the historic "L'Opera building." With a small business loan, Kevala was able to survive the pandemic, and Sanja was able to find a new, perfect home on Redondo Ave in the historic Rose District. For the past three years, Kevala has tried to become and maintain a pillar of the Long Beach community - a unique healing space with dynamic practitioners as well as a tea lounge where you can rest and space is held for you.

Kevala has so much more to give to the community. There are upcoming classes, facial workshops, winter day retreats, and shopping pop-ups planned for the holidays.
