My dog Kenny got hit by a car tonight. He is at the hospital with head injuries and internal bleeding, and they just put a breathing tube in him. So, I am praying for him tonight. Kenny is a rescue, Lab and Shar Pei mix, I had since he was 10 weeks old. He almost died on me when he was only 3 months old. He needed a blood transfusion; thank God I had insurance. But now the insurance is not covering all of it. He is up to $5700.00 now, and insurance is only covering $3500.00. I have to pay out of pocket about $2300.00. But the doctor just called me, and they are putting the tube down his throat to breathe. That just added $600 to my out-of-pocket expenses and could be higher. I am draining the last of my savings and just don’t know what to do. So, I am asking for help. I’ve had Kenny for eight years now, and I don’t know how I can do this. I met a wonderful man from the Azores last year. Because of immigration, he can’t work, so I am supporting both of us. I am so afraid for my husband; even leaving the house scares him. Going through this process is not easy. So, I am turning for help to save Kenny, my best friend. Please help. Victor
