Save Kenai: Urgent Surgery Needed

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

My dog Kenai is 8 years old. He’s been with me through everything: moves, heartbreaks, growing up. He’s not just a dog. He’s my first best friend and my heart.

On Monday, Kenai started throwing up and refusing to eat. I could tell something was really wrong. He wasn’t himself. I took him to the emergency vet where they ran tests and found something stuck in his intestines and it’s blocking everything. If it’s not removed immediately, it could lead to sepsis or even death.

Kenai needs emergency surgery, a $5,000 procedure to remove the blockage and possibly part of his intestines. The vet told me that time is critical. Without surgery, he won’t make it.

I know 8 sounds old to some people, but if you knew Kenai, you’d know he’s still got so much life and fight left in him. He’s goofy, loyal, gentle, and still acts like a puppy when he’s excited. He doesn’t deserve to go out like this. Not when there’s a way to save him.

I’m doing everything I can, but I just can’t afford this on my own. If you can help in any way, whether it’s donating, sharing, or just sending a kind word, it would mean the world to me and give Kenai the fighting chance he deserves.
