Kala is a sweet 1 &1/2  year-old, indoor-only cat who had a treacherous night out! He escaped in the night and was gone for about 24 hours. After fruitlessly searching all day,  I heard his little meow in a nearby bush around 1:00 am. He was covered in motor oil and had a bad limp. I took him to the vet and she found his hip was fractured, likely from getting hit by a car.
So far I have $877 in vet expenses for blood work and x-rays. Unfortunately he is going to have to have surgery on Monday to fix his hip. The vet says this will cost about $2000. I was unemployed due to Covid-19 until recently, and this is WAY over my budget. I really need help! I will be endlessly thankful for any support with this, this cat is so special to me!
Please help save him! He is in a lot of pain and will have a very poor quality of life without this surgery. He is a beloved cat to all who know him and has provided me with support for my mental health / depression over the past year and a half.
