Kafka urgently needs your help to fund cataract surgery and save her sight. 

She is already deaf and is a lovely, sweet natured, 11 month old kitten, whom we adopted from Battersea rescue centre last year. 

Being deaf and having  ‘wobbly cat syndrome’ (cerebellar hypoplasia), she is much more reliant on her sense of sight than other cats.

Kafka loves going for long walks on her lead, chasing feathers, and learning new tricks - her current favourites is fist bumping!

The cataract surgery and follow-ups will cost around £7,000. Her health insurance will cover the first £2,000. We also have £1,500 in savings , but we need your help to be able to fund the surgery.

The longer her eyes are left, the worse her vision will get and the harder her life will get. Eventually her eyes will develop secondary glaucoma and she will be completely blind. 

She will also need two check-ups per year for the rest of her life - any excess funding will help us to fund these and ensure she continues to enjoy life.
