Save Jyns eyesight

For those wondering how my insurance has already run out, this is an example of why my insurance has run out so quickly, he needs these veterinary visits every 4-6 weeks, sometimes more if the pressure builds up in his eyes due to his glaucoma.

This is in addition to the many blood tests and biopsies he's had, and the lifelong medication he needs every day for his other conditions.

This is before the cost of surgery to try and salvage his remaining sight

He's being treated at Veterinary Vision in Sunderland, he has multiple immune mediated conditions, including EPI, allergies, basically his immune system attacks his own body, including his eyes.

The lens in his right eye has luxated, the retina has detached and that eye is now beyond help, the lens in his left eye is unstable and he now has glaucoma in both eyes. His only hope of preserving the sight in his left eye is surgery to remove the lens before his eye deteriorates further, which it will despite the treatment he is receiving at the ophthalmologist clinic.

As I mentioned, he has other immune mediated conditions which have already cost me thousands to have investigated and treated, meaning my insurance has run out and will not renew until August 2024.

Vets have advised that he will be blind well before my insurance renews, that's why we started the gofundme.

I don't qualify for PDSA help and Jyn needs to be treated at the specialist eye clinic anyway.

For those saying they wouldn't ask for help, bully for you, but I'm willing to try anything for my dog, then at least I can say that I did actually try , that's what gofundme Is for, to help raise funds.

Firstly a huge thank you to those who have been kind enough to donate, I know everyone is struggling with money at the moment and so I really do appreciate it.

Unfortunately Jyn has all but lost the sight in his right eye, his lens is loose, the retina has now detached and he now also has glaucoma

The lens in his left eye has also now become unstable, and the vet believes that he will lose the sight in that eye too without surgery to remove the lens. We now face the prospect of Jyn needing to have both of his eyes removed in the very near future unless I can raise the funds to save the sight in his left eye**

Hi, my name is Brian and I'm desperately trying to raise funds for my boys urgent eye surgery. He unfortunately has a host of medical issues and my insurance has now run out, the surgery is to remove the lens in his eye before he goes blind, he's only a year old and the sweetest boy ever who just doesn't deserve this I'm selling everything I own to try and raise the money but it's just not enough.

I'm not too good at putting my feelings down being a bloke, but I'm absolutely in bits , I love him, he's just my world.
