Save Julio David: Critical Medical Fund

Hi, I’m Raquel Garcia and I’m helping raise money for a child named Julio David Jerezano Ramirez. He’s 7 years old and lives in Cofradia, Honduras. He has leukemia and has been struggling with it since 2023. Chemotherapy has not helped his state and has actually lowered his defenses, and he is now in critical condition. His doctor has tried transferring David to Saint Jude Hospital, but they didn’t allow him to transfer because “there was no free space.” They have changed a law in Honduras for medical consultations, which means that in order to have consultations, they need to buy them, and they only last for a short period of time. The child’s doctor said that he desperately needs an emergency bone marrow transplant and needs a number of tests done. David’s family has tried everything to make sure he's okay and are trying to make enough money to travel to Saint Jude in California legally for his transplant and tests required to get him into a stable, healthy state. I am the one opening this campaign to help this young child due to me being the only way they can raise enough money since there aren’t a lot of people who are willing to help David in his very difficult situation. Hola, soy Raquel García y estoy ayudando a recaudar dinero para un niño llamado Julio David Jerezano Ramirez. Tiene 7 años y vive en Cofradia, Honduras. Tiene leucemia y ha estado luchando contra ella desde el 2023. La quimioterapia no ha ayudado a su estado y de hecho ha bajado sus defensas, y ahora se encuentra en estado crítico. Su médico ha intentado trasladar a David al hospital Saint Jude, pero no le permitieron trasladar porque “no había espacio libre.” Han cambiado una ley en Honduras para consultas médicas, que para tener consultas necesitan comprarlas y sólo duran un corto período de tiempo. El médico del niño dijo que necesita desesperadamente un trasplante de médula ósea de emergencia y que le hagan una serie de pruebas. La familia de David ha intentado todo para asegurarse de que esté bien y está tratando de ganar suficiente dinero para viajar legalmente a Saint Jude en California para su trasplante y las pruebas necesarias para que alcance un estado estable y saludable. Soy yo quien abre esta campaña para ayudar a este niño pequeño debido a que soy la única manera de recaudar suficiente dinero, ya que no hay mucha gente dispuesta a ayudar a David en su situación tan difícil.
