Save Julian from our failing Healthcare system!

My name is Amanda.2 years ago I met the most kind, loving, considerate and accepting man named Julian. I knew right away he was who I would spend the rest of my life with...but he has been handed an unbelievably hard hand in life. At the age of only 39 he lost his right leg below the knee due to an uncontrollable infection. He recovered from this only to go into kidney failure by age 45. Fast forward to December of 2023 and due to neuropathy, diabetes (although well managed) and the dialysis (3 days per week) his good foot completely blistered and the surface became necrotic. Through the amazing support of myself, his children and their mother we got him to the hospital 7 days a week for daily care and bandage changes. All was going well.Healing was going well(although incredibly slow!) Until June 2 when for no reason everything came to a grinding halt. His toes became so bad there was initially talk of amputation. He is still hospitalized on 3 different antibiotics.

The doctors offer no help other than wound care and basically waiting for the inevitable amputation. I didn't accept this! I found a doctor in Florida who has guaranteed results with equipment he can use at home that will not only improve the blood flow but also help the nerves to regenerate AND cut his healing time in half! This is through low level light therapy and electrostimulation. Both are proven methods of healing, yet nobody offers it here, much less for at home use which he so desperately needs!

Anyone who knows me knows I rarely ask for help, but I am desperate to get him the help he needs so he can fully recover and stand by my side again! This photo of us has great significance to me as this was one of the last times he was able to walk unaided and on this night he told me how he was working on strengthening his walking so that he would be able to carry me over the threshold when we are married.

Please help me to reach my goal so that we can get him this treatment and he can go back to being my happy, joking, positive thinking man, instead of living life, in a hospital, in the tiny province of PEI where we have no options other than the bare basics with no hope.

Every last donation will go directly towards this treatment and I know things are hard for everyone right now so if you are unable to donate, if you could please share and help me reach our goal!
