Hi, my name is Fiona and I am fundraising for my friend J and her Bees.

Last summer she had a swarm of beautiful bees come to nest in her house. There were just a few at first but then they made a home in her chimney. They were inside the living room and kitchen. At first it was manageable and she really didn’t want to harm them in anyway by getting pest control in. Despite the fact she is allergic to bee stings!

After a while when she actually found honey dripping down her chimney and the amount of bees were increasing daily, she tried to find a reputable company to re home the bees safely.

The guy she found who is very experienced and genuinely likes to help the bees couldn’t do anything until end of February beginning of March.

J then spent a winter without using her wood burner as she didn’t want to harm the bees in anyway. She has also been saving to find the funds to re home the bees. Including selling her most prized Malc Almond/ soft cell collection.

The total cost of re homing the bees safely, taking down the chimney and the cost of scaffolding is £3,700. She has managed to save £1000 herself and friends have given £700 in donations but that still leaves a short fall of £2000

If anyone can help her meet these costs … even just a small amount would really help.

I think she is such a wonderful compassionate person to be helping the bees in this way.
