A little over three years ago, on a warm Memorial Day, two tiny kittens wandered into our lives. Joe-E (short for Joe Exotic) and his sister Mia found us while hanging out in a friend’s backyard, and from that day on, they became part of our family.

Recently, Joe-E faced a serious and life-threatening medical emergency. He developed a urinary blockage — a dangerous condition in male cats that can be fatal without immediate treatment. What started as one emergency surgery quickly turned into a heartbreaking ordeal. Complications led to three separate surgeries, and Joe-E has spent several days at the animal hospital fighting to recover.

As you can imagine, the medical bills for his care have grown rapidly. So far, we’re nearing $9,000 in veterinary expenses, and his road to recovery is not over yet. Joe-E is a huge part of our family, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the chance he deserves — but we need a little help to get there.
