Sweet baby Jelly Bean came to us recently and we immediately knew something wasn’t right with her front leg. So we did what anyone would do, and took her to the vet. JB’s front left leg had a break in it at some point, and now needs surgery on her elbow to fix it. Our only other choice is to amputate her leg. ☹️
Jelly Bean needs something called a “proximal releasing ulner oscteotomy”… which is a really fancy way of saying elbow surgery. In growing dogs, the bones in the forelimb might grow at different rates. Jelly is only (almost) 4 months old. Because of the trauma in her leg, one bone is growing faster than the other. It is creating abnormal joint stress in her elbow.
Please consider donating to Jelly Bean so we can save her leg and get her the surgery she desperately needs!
