Anyone who knows us, knows that we have difficulty with asking for help, and with a lot of our problems, we'd rather go the cowardly route of suffering through it alone. However, our dog, Jaxson, will not stand a chance if we do not reach out and push pride aside.
We are begging – pleading – for any help we can receive this time around.
Jaxson has a blockage in his intestines, something he has a low chance of surviving without the help of surgery, and we do not have the funds to help him.
We don't want to have to say goodbye just yet. He's not an old dog.
We're supposed to have at least seven more years with him, meaning seven more years of his stinky breath in our face because we quit petting him, and seven more years of his paw-licking breaking our nightly silence, and seven more years of wondering if that lump beneath the covers is him.
We'll be honest, we've lived quite a few years on the idea that we were more cat people, but Jaxson, our first dog... Who else is going to get that excited when we get home from work that they would pee themselves?
Please, help us save our best friend.
