Save Jax: Urgent Help Needed for Vet Bills

My name is Mackenzie and I am starting this GoFundMe for my soul dog, Jax. Jax is only 4 years old and his nickname is "Love Dog." Love Dog is a 110lb Goldador (Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever).

A little back story: Our family had our beloved dog, Jack, who was mentally handicapped. He passed at only 8 years old because of a health condition he was born with. Three years after Jack passed, Jax came into our lives and did very similar things that only Jack did. I never believed in reincarnation until Jax. He has healed the hole in my heart from my childhood dog Jack being gone.

On Sunday, June 8th, Jax was acting restless and would not get up off the floor, and his stomach was huge like a balloon. We have heard of bloat before, so we knew if it was bloat, we had to get him to the emergency vet ASAP. Here we are at the emergency vet with a confirmed diagnosis of bloat. If you don’t know what bloat is, here is the definition:

“Bloat in dogs, also known as gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), is a life-threatening condition where the stomach fills with gas and then twists, potentially causing death if not treated immediately. It's a medical emergency that requires veterinary care to relieve the pressure on the stomach and other organs.”

Jax is in surgery right now, but we are left with a very hefty vet bill. I have some availability on my CareCredit card but not $8k worth.
