Save Jarvis: Support His Life-Saving Treatment

Hi friends, family and all who are reading this,
This has certainly been quite the Christmas, and not so much in a good way. Our sweetest boy Jarvis got into things he should not have gotten into and very quickly, things turned for the worst. He is the absolute sweetest, most loving and loyal cat who also has the biggest appetite, and when he turned his nose up to food we kne
w something wasn't right. We rushed him to the vet, and then the emergency vet where he was taken in due to extremely high calcium levels and his kidneys losing their ability to function.
We were told the prognosis wasn't good, and Jack and I held each other and begged for a miracle. I just lost my childhood family dog Bella only four days prior, and had not had time to even process her loss when I suddently found myself unable to breathe knowing our kitten's life was at risk.
The first day was bleak, but by the second day we learned his kidney function was improving which gave us more hope. Slowly but surely, the veterinarian's reports were better and better; we are incredibly grateful that our miracle actually came true and we could not be more relieved and thrilled to bring our baby home not only for us, but for his sister Taffy too.
We are so grateful for the amazing staff at Oakland Veterinary Referral Services for their drive to save our boy. With five days in the hospital, he is able to come back home. We told ourselves we would do whatever it takes to save his life, and that we did at an unfortunately very high cost, including re-checks to ensure he does not relapse. Any amount of donation would be so incredibly helpful in aiding our quest to save our kitten, we are so grateful for everyone's support and love - you all are a part of bringing our baby home.
UPDATE! He is home now! Still recovering and has a long way to go but he is on the up and up! He will need to revisit the vet for bloodwork rechecks and remain on steroids until we know his calcium won't rise again, but we are beyond excited that he is home.
Your donations help us so very much and we are beyond grateful.
