Hi, I'm Kati, a small business owner & jeweler in Chicago, IL. I am running this campaign for the benefit of my friend Jamal Abu Al-Ata and his community in Gaza. All funds collected go toward Jamal's efforts sustaining his mutual aid organization, Food, Not Bombs, which is dedicated to cooking for and feeding starving, genocide-ravaged families in his camp. Funds are regularly distributed to Jamal via USDT cryptocurrency since fees are so high via PayPal.
In Jamal's own words:
The Food Not Bombs project and organization is a national and humanitarian project that serves dozens, even hundreds, of displaced families and provides shelter for poor families. From the beginning, this project has contributed to helping many families and displaced persons who are in camps in my area: Shuja'iyya, Daraj, Rimal, Jabalia, and Tal al-Hawa. We are now displaced, my family and I, consisting of eight people, in a tent. Other families living in the camps are suffering greatly as well.
My work team and I are constantly carrying out various and qualitative work, including distributing basic foodstuffs according to what is available in the markets to struggling families and children. I try hard to put a smile on their faces when they buy what they need. It is true that there are goods, food supplies, healthy food, and personal hygiene products in the markets and shops recently, but the prices are very high, insanely high, such as
- Fish
- Chicken
- Fruits
- Fresh meat
- Shampoo
- Canned foods
- Basic food supplies
- Frozen meat
- Healthy milk to nourish newborns and infants
We cannot buy this for the displaced and needy people in the tents except through your help, support, and funding.
There is now an ongoing famine, and the Israeli occupation is deliberately imposing hunger and famine on us. This is a new policy of psychological warfare, and this is the reason for the indescribably high prices due to the great scarcity in providing it.
No free aid enters the displaced through the Rafah or Kerem Shalom crossings. Rather, its equivalent has been greatly cut off due to the closure of the crossing, the imposition of siege restrictions, and also the barbaric war. Families are in great need of humanitarian aid and all similar healthy food and eating
Also, if you have enough time to prepare your own collection via Instagram etc., please do so without hesitation. This will help fund the Food, Not Bombs project and organization, and will also help my struggling family. I sincerely hope to see more tattoo artists participate and do this, because this will help us create more initiatives and intensify our efforts on the ground. We have noticed from some friends and artists that when their raffles and lotteries are held, it is the best way to collect donations for us and for the Food, Not Bombs project. I prefer this option, and I ask all friends and artists who can do this for a just cause and a national project, do not hesitate to do so.
If you cannot, comment, share, and talk to us. Talk to small and large companies about us in the way you wish, and to those who may be interested with us in feeding hungry children and families who have nothing but hope in you, and my family as well.
Remember, before you contribute with us, we have the right to live like you, so do not abandon us and always stay by our side, my friends. You are our only hope, and we trust in your humanity
Our mission is to serve my family, my community, and the displaced families in all areas of Gaza and provide them with urgent relief. United for Gaza, let us continue to transform compassion into real impact through your support and donations. This will help save our innocent lives.
No humanitarian aid has reached northern Gaza yet, and people are still desperate and starving.
Keep speaking out.
Keep demanding change at the systemic level.
Keep sending direct aid to Gaza.
This is what gives me the strength to continue fighting and trying to involve others. You are our only hope. Do not abandon us and always stay by our side. We need new donors and contributors to strengthen our presence in this charitable work. In order for the benefit to spread to everyone, this project remains the hope, indeed the only basic lifeline, helping the many displaced people, poor families, and needy households in Gaza
In light of these difficult and complex circumstances, you are our only hope in this world. In order to continue this charitable work, support must be provided on an ongoing basis, even if the donation and support are small. This has a positive impact and makes a difference to us and the displaced people living in tents
Inspire us with your humanity, comrades.
But the need is still great among our people, and we are in dire need of water, food, and the most basic necessities of life.
Your donation today can make a real difference.
The work team carried out, evacuated, and sheltered many displaced people when the occupation invaded the area east and west of Shuja'iyya. Many families were also evacuated and transferred to a safe place and provided appropriate shelter, not to mention covering the transportation costs for many families when citizens were evacuated from the Shuja'iyya area to the Mawasi of Khan Yunis, the south, and other safe areas.
We made and built many tents for them.
And other families who are unable to afford the costs of tents for shelter are expensive in light of the barbaric war against us. At the beginning of the war, this unjust occupier expelled my family from northern Gaza to the southern Gaza Strip. Now, my family and I are in the Tal al-Hawa area in western Gaza
Proceeds go directly to the Food Not Bombs organization, headed by Jamal from Gaza.
There are so many talented artists and friends who want to contribute. I would love to see their art used for good for us. Your efforts keep Jamal, his family, and his community alive at a time when they desperately need your generous cooperation. They deserve to live. I especially want to mention my friend Jamal. He does everything he can to try to bring hope through his great work, carrying out humanitarian initiatives in the midst of events and widespread famine amidst the total destruction that is difficult to explain in a few lines.
Prove your presence and humanity in the way that suits you. Be sure to like, share, comment, and promote our presence and the injustice we live through every day. Where are human rights? Where are the international organizations?
Where are the Arab and foreign governments?
Does anyone see this in the total and complete destruction in Gaza?
Every citizen in Gaza has the right to live a dignified and peaceful life
There is a severe malnutrition due to the siege and the war, and there is a widespread spread of diseases. Medicine is purchased for them to prevent infection. There are many diseases and all sorts of similar illnesses.
This requires treatment, and the cost of treatment is also expensive
Your contribution with us saves the lives of many families and poor households.
Our team also organizes food supply distribution initiatives from time to time, at a specific and specific time.
Food Not Bombs provides vital food supplies to families in need and those facing crises. Please donate if possible. Those working directly on the ground in Gaza. We do this to renew hope and return to life.
Up until this moment, the war has not ended. It has been more than 600 days and we are approaching two years. There is frequent displacement among families.
There is cruelty, arrogance, and great difficulty in life.
And random and violent bombing. What is happening in Gaza is beyond description and logic. We just want you to stand by us.
We need your support in implementing and ensuring the success of this project in order to serve my family, my people, and my country in need
There are no words to describe the situation now in northern Gaza. The ground invasion has begun and we are being subjected to a continuous brutal attack. What can I say? You are watching our escalating death. My friends, please fight and pray for us. Everyone who has something to offer, what can you do for the people of Gaza who are facing famine? The more support, contributions, and assistance, the more people we can help to survive and live a better life for our citizens through contributing, supporting, participating, and staying by our side.
Please check out the Instagram page Jamal from Gaza for ongoing updates & to share our stories so we can spread the word on what's happening and find new donors to contribute and share. Thank you for helping us in supporting the displaced, preserving them, and protecting them from the threat of famine.
