Save Jacob from IVDD Paralysis

My name is Jadan, and my dog Jacob is the best friend I have ever had.

Over the past weekend, I took a trip out of town and had Jacob stay with a sitter. When I picked him up, he was showing signs of serious injury - he was walking funny with a hunched posture and a big, black scar across his back. The sitters deny having anything to do with it, claiming he "may have gotten tangled during a walk", but the severity of his condition suggested something much worse. I promptly took him to an emergency vet and learned that whatever injury he suffered aggravated his spine, and that he would need surgery to alleviate his pain and prevent his back legs from becoming paralyzed.

This has all happened very suddenly. I'm not emotionally prepared to lose him and I am not financially prepared for his treatment. He has been nothing but good to me his whole life; I want to return that kindness to him now.
