Jack Townsend Tangila is a bright and hardworking medical student from Papua New Guinea, currently in graduated in China 2022. He has dedicated the last six years of his life pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, with dreams of returning home to serve his people as a doctor.

But now, Jack faces a devastating roadblock: unless he pays off his outstanding tuition fees by May 25, his university will withhold and permanently destroy his Bachelor's certificate by May 28.

Jack comes from humble beginnings in Dinga Tribe, Sinesine,Simbu Province, and has pushed through every challenge — including studying abroad without consistent financial support — to get to where he is. His parents, like many in PNG, cannot meet the steep costs required by the university in China. The amount needed is K40,000 (approx. AUD $16,000).
